Our mission: program analysis, exhibit design, design of interpretive tools.

Since 1968, the House of Alsace has been inviting its visitors to discover different aspects of the region— cultural, economic, social and environmental. Located on the Champs-Elysées avenue (Paris), seven floors are devoted to exploring the Alsatian region.

To augment the image of Alsace, a competition was launched for the refurbishment of the architecture and interior design of the House.

Through an in-depth study of the interpretive goals and objectives of the House, Anamnesia then worked with the project architect to define and visualize these concepts. The region is characterized by its complexity: torn between France and Germany for ages, it is also looking toward the future in a more united, stable European environment. So, Alsace is plural, polymorphous— on the edge between past and future, tradition and innovation— making Alsace a unique region in contemporary Europe.

This concept unfolds through the exhibit design. The transition between the two faces of Alsace is symbolized as visitors ascend in the House, from the entrance hall to the top. Multimedia and audiovisual devices emphasize the concept, and immerse the visitor in an unique experience.

Our mission: work with the client to define and develop a comprehensive program, design of the scenario of visit, project coordination and management for the exhibit catalog

Through the lens of Benin traditions, music, architecture, arts, crafts, fashion, and fine arts, the exhibit “Benin: Traditions and Modernism” is planned for 2009. Benin is characterized by a positive, dynamic tension between tradition and modernity. The exhibition will interpret this concept through synthesis of the current artistic and cultural scene within an historical context.

The exhibition will explore Benin cultural values and provide unique interactive experiences. Our scenario will engage the visitor in participatory performances to enhance their understanding of Benin culture.

Anamnesia’s goals are comprehensive: we will define the exhibition program, undertake important inventory work on-site, write the scenario of visit and contents, and supervise the choice of the communication tools— all to be coordinated with the exhibition catalog.

In 2005, Pierre Soulages, one of the most important French artists, donated exceptional paintings and drawings to Rodez, the city where he was born (in 1919). To highlight the important donation and also to initiate a dialog around contemporary art, the City decided to build a Museum, scheduled to open in 2012.

Anamnesia, in partnership with Agenda, a media communications and marketing agency, has been selected to design and implement the communication strategy and campaign of the museum’s construction, from the architectural competition to its opening.
We will focus on all aspects of digital communication.

Our mission: development of an online communication strategy (redesign of the official website, design and production of multimedia and interactive tools).

Since its creation in 1984, World Music Day (WMD) invites us to travel in the universe of music, either professional or amateur. Each June, the festival brings together musicians from more than 110 countries, bridging the generations in an exciting mélange of styles—from classical music to rap, from rock to electro.
For the 2008 gathering, the French Minister of Culture chose Anamnesia to redesign the official website, which is the portal of the event.

This website will have two main goals:

Informing the public about WMD (its history, etc.) and the thousands of events that take place in France and all over the world, and

Defining the resources that are necessary for the management of the Festival.

At the same time, Anamnesia is implementing new communication tools that come from the Web 2.0 world (Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, DailyMotion, etc.). The main goal is to encourage young people to participate in the event.
Virtual interaction will enhance WMD’s presence on the internet, and interest more people to participate in the event who would otherwise be unaware of it.

Our mission: scientific content, design of interpretive tools.

The Environmental Center is part of a large-scale project for the enhancement, preservation, and interpretation of the natural heritage of the Barre region in Southwestern France.
The Center increases awareness and appreciation of local wildlife, through an interactive experience designed to be both entertaining and educational.

To meet these objectives, we devised an innovative solution featuring an audiovisual guide to introduce visitors to the content of the exhibition. Visitors are invited to relate what they have experienced in the center to the natural environment outside.
We have solved one of the persistent drawbacks to typical nature center exhibits: how to link an indoor experience to an actual walk in the woods.
Our solution is GPS-based, allowing visitors to access content in direct relation to where they are standing in the exhibition space or park. They carry a small hand-held multimedia device which guides them round the visitor circuit. The device interacts seamlessly with the multimedia and static exhibits indoors.

Our mission: content adaptation, design of interactive scenarios and multimedia games, design and production of audiovisual and multimedia hardware.

“Eana, Earth of Possible” will be presented in a park in the Seine valley, around the Abbey of Valasse. The project is an invitation to travel from Earth’s origins to the year 2050. The events and exhibits will be presented in the Park of the former Abbey (with an outside path) but also in an interactive and entertaining center.

The Center has a three path-structure:

A “knowledge” path that displays experience on environment, ecology and natural resources

A “know-how” path that shows the daily gestures impacting on economy, society, ecology, etc.

A “know-be” path that invites to a collective reflection on the socioeconomic orientations and the future of our planet.

Using traditional exhibits and multimedia, the exhibit will engage visitors in an experience emphasizing sustainable development.
Our goal is to design and develop mediation tools of several kinds, which fully meet the Center’s goals: movies, games, interactive audiovisual applications, semi-immersive devices, optical theater… Those different tools are all scenarized.
